A busy day

Since taking over as the Community Content Coordinator a couple months ago, I’ve had a long to-do list. It was one of those things where I wasn’t even sure where to begin.

Slowly, but surely, I’ve been working on that list. I’ve had to figure out different aspects of how our website works. I’ve explored Facebook and worked on videos.

We recently embarked on a Valentine’s Day-based video project, ”14 Days of Love.” It was fun to go around to all the businesses and record these vidoes.

With V-Day now ancient memory, I looked for another item to cross off my list. Today, that was Twitter. Talking to one of my college friends last night, he mentioned the fact he just signed up. That gave me the push I needed to move to this spot on my list and dive right in.

Yes, the Daily Globe does have a Twitter account. I don’t have a personal one — yet — but that may be coming soon. Just like anything else, we’re going to do a little experimenting with Twitter to find out the best way to reach our audience.

I posted a couple tweets today, and there will be more coming soon. But today was just about finding the password (which was a difficult task in itself) and starting up again.
