I very much enjoy wearing tuxedos.
I’m not sure why, but I always have.
I think it’s because it’s special. It’s something different. It’s not normal.
Perhaps it’s from the years and years of wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but I always feel different when I wear a tuxedo.
So, I try to wear one whenever I can.
Now, having said that, not every occasion calls for a tux. Sure, I could probably wear a tuxedo to the office, but I’d get some funny looks — even more than normal.
On Saturday, I had an opportunity to dress up. I first had a tux a few weeks ago for the Bridal Fair. I had a dark colored vest with black pants and a white coat. Those tuxedos were compliments of The Stag on that day.
When I took my tux back after the Fair, I asked if it would be possible to get one for our Women’s Expo. The garb was such a hit, I had to do it again.
So a week ago I went back to The Stag to look into a tux. I told them I didn’t care what I wore, I was game for anything.
They came through with a fantastic suit. It was teal with a black shirt, black coat and black pants. It was called “The Situation,” named after the Jersey Shore actor.
When “The Situation” modeled the tux, he had it slightly open, exposing his six-pack abs.
I didn’t quite pull that off, but I think I wore it pretty well. I had a few compliments on it.
And, it was another occasion to get dressed up. And that made for a great day.
