I received a final report from my uncle, Marlin Berkland, from Minnesota Twins’ spring training.

Twins spring training

The Twins will open their season on Friday night at Baltimore.
From my uncle late Wednesday night:
The boys head north to Baltimore today.  The game today was against the Miracle (Twins’ A level team).  As you can see, there were plenty of tickets available under the sunny Southwest Florida skies.  The Miracle held their own and were leading 3-1 before minor leaguers started to replace the major leaguers for the Twins.  A nice scene (as shown) was Mauer at 3rd and Morneau at second as the Twins scored early.  The low  minor league players for the Twins eventually carried the day for the Twins win 8-7.  For the Miracle, one of the Twins ‘ top prospects Oswaldo Arcia showed his power by drilling a long ball off the batters’ eye in center.
The Twins start the season with some questions at pitching and in the bullpen.  They have hit the ball well in the last week or so and seem to be playing well in the field with few errors.  The batting lineup can cause some problems for opponents if they can stay healthy.
Bring on the regular season!
And we shall do just that. In fact, when the Twins throw out the first pitch of the season at Target Field on Monday, I’ll be in the stands, ready for the greatest season of the year.
