“It’s getting hot in here, so hot, so take off all your clothes
I am, getting so hot, I wanna take my clothes off”
Don’t worry, my fair readers, I’m not actually taking my clothes off.
Not that I haven’t thought about it.
But my point here isn’t nudity. It’s merely that it’s really hot in the Globe. And what better way to get my point across than with a video of the classic (did I really just say that?) Nelly song.
I don’t know why it’s so hot in here.
I mean, I have a pretty good idea.
I’m guessing it’s because it’s close to 80 degrees for the second straight day.
But that’s outside. Although, the brick building that is the Daily Globe office doesn’t do well with changes in temperature.
I’ve heard rumors of air conditioning, but those are just speculated and unverified rumors.
I’m waiting to celebrate until the nice, cool air is flowing through the building.
Until that happens, we have a few fans set up around the office. And, any time I have the chance, I’ve gone outside.
I had a chance to go and video students at Minnesota West cleaning up the campus this morning. We walked to Azteca for lunch at noon and later, I have a meeting at the YMCA.
Anything to get out of the oven
The old saying goes, “If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.”
Well, I’m not one to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but if the kitchen is a metaphor for the office, I’m ready to skedaddle.
Here’s hoping it’s cooler tomorrow.
And if it’s not, to not wearing long pants and a long-sleeve shirt.
