Well, have you?
Wednesday, August 1st is the annual Links for Literacy golf tournament at Worthington Country Club.
I found my team a couple weeks ago.
We aren’t going to win (no offense, guys). But we’re going to have fun doing it.
And let’s be honest, isn’t that what it’s about?
I’m sure someone will have a team score of something like 57.
I hope we can shoot a 75.
I am being joined by Ryan Seykora, Jake Roethler and Scott Gunderman.
From what I’ve heard, there won’t be a lot of pressure.
Ryan doesn’t have a set of clubs of his own. Jake and Scott both told me that they aren’t great. Which is good for me, since I’m not either.
But the day isn’t about what we shoot. It’s about going out, enjoying some golf and supporting a good cause — putting newspapers in the classrooms.
If you haven’t signed up, it’s time to do that.
The tournament is going to be a lot of fun and I hope each and every one of you joins us on the day.
