As some of you may have noticed, there haven’t been a whole lot of updates on this lately.
There’s a very good explanation for that.
I was on vacation.
I haven’t taken much for vacation for a couple of years. Actually, I don’t think I’ve been gone for more than a day or two since I took two weeks off to go to Washington, D.C. with my parents in the summer of 2010.
So, it was long overdue.
I took about six days off from work.
But, if you’re expecting this blog to be about some grand trip I took, or the ends of the Earth I saw, you will be very disappointed.
I didn’t do a whole lot.
The highlight of my vacation, however, was going to Ames, Iowa to see one of my former college roommates.
I hadn’t seen him since he and I went to Minneapolis together earlier in the spring for a sports weekend.
This time around, we hung out, went out to eat and played some golf.
After seeing him, I went to my parent’s house for a couple of days. I hadn’t been there too much, either, so it was good to get some home cooking and spend some time with the rents.
On an added bonus, I was able to see my grandparents, as well, which was an unexpected coincidence.
The rest of my time was spent at home. I played golf a couple times, I played softball, I was lazy.
It was quite possibly one of the best times of my life.
But now that I’m back in the swing of things — I was actually back to work on Thursday, but the last two days of last week were spent catching up — I will be blogging more.
I already have a plethora of ideas for the coming week, so be sure to check back daily!
