I can’t help but take some responsibility.
For weeks, I stayed quiet.
I sat on the sidelines.
But I couldn’t take it anymore.
I had to speak out.
And a deal was done.
Of course, I’m talking about the replacement officials.
They had been struggling for the first few weeks of the season. And finally, the tragedy that was the Monday night game happened.
And I couldn’t sit idle any longer.
So I wrote a blog post, talking about those replacement officials.
And, I don’t think it was a coincidence, the NFL agreed to a new deal with the officials.
So, you’re welcome NFL fans.
“If you didn’t write that blog post, it never would have happened.” — Ryan Seykora
Actually, in all honesty, I don’t know why they decided to agree to the terms of a new deal with the officials.
But I’m glad it happened.
It was time.
So, come Sunday, the players, coaches, fans and announcers will have to find something else to blame.
And ESPN can go back to covering Tim Tebow.
All will be right with the world of sports.
