For people who know me, this might come as a surprise.
But sometimes, I just have nothing to say.
Today is one of those days.
I’m convinced I should carry around a little notebook at all times, just to write down when I have a brilliant idea for a blog.
That way, when it’s time to sit down and write, I”ll have something to say.
Unfortunately, I haven’t done that. So I have nothing to say.
About all I have tonight is reflections of Halloweens past.
There were some years I had a bomb costume — like being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Some weren’t so great — I think I was a bum one year.
I remember going trick-or-treating when I had a broken arm.
I remember going in the snow.
But through it all, I think it’s one of my favorite holidays.
I mean, lets be honest, what little kid doesn’t love Halloween?
You get to dress up and go get hoards and hoards of candy. I used to get so much candy I couldn’t eat it all before it went bad.
When I would get home, I would dump the candy out on the living room floor and sort it out. I would take the pieces I really liked out first, often times eating most of them that night.
There wasn’t too much I didn’t like. The few things I didn’t like would end up in the trash.
Of course, I’m at that awkward age right now. I’m surely too old to go trick-or-treating — although we did go in college — and I don’t have any kids to take along.
So for now, I’m just going to watch as others enjoy the day and remember all the fun times I had growing up on All Hallows Eve.
