It has been a while. But I’m back to blogging.
I have been busy sorting out election results (more on that later) and catching up on sleep (which, can you ever really catch up?).
It has been a fun couple of weeks since my last blog. I have been working on getting through election. Our team finished second in our kickball league. And I watched a couple more Iowa losses.
The first Iowa loss — to Indiana — was from the comfort of my own home.
The second — to Purdue — was from Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.
I took my girlfriend, Kelsey, with me to the Hawkeye game on Saturday. We did a little tailgating and went to the game.
It was a pretty awesome game — except for the fact Iowa lost. The weather was gorgeous and the sun was shining.
If there is a downside to going to Iowa football games it’s the fact that it kills the weekend. I feel more tired today than I do at the end of a long week. It’s almost like I need a vacation from my vacation.
But we’ll catch up this week — although I do have some fun activities in the works — and get ready to do it all again in another week.
For now, thanks for coming back to Beyond the Page. In the coming days and weeks, I’ll have more insights and issues I want to address.
They are things I’ve been thinking about for a while now, and I’ll finally have the time to sit down and share my thoughts on a few key topics.
