So, I finally caved.
For the longest time, a friend of mine has been telling me to get on LinkedIn.
And I wasn’t sure why. Or what the purpose was.
To be honest, I’m still not sure. But I signed up for an account.
It was a fun process, trying to find people who I knew to “connect” with.
Of course, it’s been filling my inbox all day with people who have accepted my request to “connect” with them.
It was a slow process. I first had to upload my picture. And then my work experience and my schooling.
I still haven’t finished tweaking my profile yet, but that will come over the course of a few days, I’m sure.
But the question still remains, what will I use it for?
And that is an answer I don’t know if I can answer at this point.
This is what I do know. If you are like me, and are just unsure of what all this “social media” is about, then I have the answer.
On Jan. 23, we are hosting a social media breakfast at 8 a.m. at BenLee’s, where programs like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn will be discussed.

It’s a new club we are starting in Worthington, and I’m excited about it. And I hope you will be too.
And hey, if you’re already on LinkedIn, let’s connect.
I’ll figure out what that means sometime.
