In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t had a chance to blog lately. It’s for a combination of reasons. Mostly, I’ve been busy. And gone.
First, being busy.
I love it.
I hate sitting around with nothing to do. I love having things to occupy my time.
And lately, I haven’t had a hard time finding things to do just that.
I’ve been trying to ramp up my city council coverage with some new stories and looking into other issues in the city.
I have been working on video projects, including a video roster project for the Minnesota West men’s basketball team.
And there are other projects in the works.
As for being gone, I had the privilege of attending the Minnesota Newspaper Association conference at the end of last week.
It was fun to do some networking, see old friends and learn from experts in the field.
We, as the Daily Globe, brought back many things. We brought back nine different awards, and a new wealth of knowledge.
I have already had discussions about some changes I’d like to implement in the Globe, and I’m hoping we can move forward with them.
Well, that is all for now. More later.
